Day 6 - Grand Canyon

After last night’s events, we were lucky enough to wake up nice and early at 6am, ready for a 7am coach ride to the helicopters. Me and Loz dog chose the 25 min ride (the other choice was a 45 min, for $250 no less) over the canyon. It was amazing to see how big it is again and even though it was supposed to be 25mins, it felt like 5 mins max but as amazing as it is, after a while it all looks the same, so I really don’t think we could’ve handled the 45 min ride to be honest.
After that we came back to the cabins and Lauren headed off with a few other girls on a hike. I went down for a walk later by myself and headed into the canyon. But it was super hot down there and even though climbing down was easy, climbing back up was a bitch. I also walked along the rim and sat on the edge for a while. Almost 5 people walked past me and told me not to jump. Wasn’t really funny after the first 3 times.
At around 2 me and a few others from the group went on a bike tour of the canyon. We rode mostly downhill on some tracks and got a few more rock pictures. It was hot again and we got super burnt. Our guide was alright, not the best – definitely no tip for her. Apparently she was hung over too. Bugger.
At sunset everyone went up to the canyon and it was, again, amazing. The pictures don’t do it justice. The shuttle bus there and back was super packed, apparently everyone at the camp site wanted to see the sunset tonight.
Came back and hung out in the cafeteria with everyone but we were all falling asleep so we headed back to the cabins to pack and get ready to head to VEGAS tomorrow!!
